Why we started
The sewer trade felt stuck. The customer experience felt worse.
Robert “Rob” Kuchan came into the sewer and underground world in 2012 and started Pro Sewer Repair in 2017. The industry he saw was comfortable — the same methods and the same equipment, year after year, instead of aggressively looking for better technology and better ways to repair what's under a house.
The second frustration was how customers were treated. A sewer failure is stressful and expensive, and too often the homeowner got a slow callback, a vague diagnosis, and one take-it-or-leave-it price. Rob believed all of that could be better: answer faster, communicate clearly, show up when promised, diagnose the actual problem, explain it plainly, show every viable option, help the customer choose the right one, and stand behind the work.
That's still the whole company. Better sewer solutions — HammerHead trenchless equipment, BlueLight UV-cured lining, camera-verified diagnosis — and a better experience from the first call to the final scope. Family-owned, Seattle-focused, and a sewer company first: not a plumber that also does sewers.
The goal is simple and ambitious: to be the Seattle sewer company.
