Accessibility Statement

Everyone in Seattle should be able to find out what is wrong with their sewer and get help — including people who use assistive technology.

Effective / last updated: October 20, 2026 · Entity: Pro Sewer Repair LLC (doing business as Pro Sewer Repair), a Washington limited liability company · 9824 Lake City Way NE, Lower, Seattle, WA 98115 · (425) 478-3133 · [email protected]

1. Our commitment

Pro Sewer Repair LLC, doing business as Pro Sewer Repair (“we,” “us,” “our”), is a family-owned sewer contractor at 9824 Lake City Way NE, Lower, Seattle, WA 98115. A sewer backup is stressful for anyone, and the information on this website — what a side sewer is, when trenchless repair is possible, how Seattle permits work, what to do tonight — should be available to every visitor, including people who are blind or have low vision, who are deaf or hard of hearing, who have limited mobility or dexterity, who have cognitive or learning disabilities, or who are sensitive to motion. We are committed to providing a website at prosewerrepair.com that people with disabilities can perceive, operate, understand, and use, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Washington Law Against Discrimination (RCW 49.60) as they apply to a place of public accommodation, and we apply the same commitment to the way we communicate with customers by phone, text, and email and to the way we serve them at their properties.

2. Conformance target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA

The standard we design and test against is the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the level referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice in its ADA web accessibility rulemaking and the most widely accepted benchmark for accessible websites. Our current status is partially conformant: most of the site conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA, and the exceptions we know about are listed in Section 5. We treat conformance as an ongoing effort and re-test as we add pages and features.

3. What we have done

The following measures are built into this website:

  • Semantic structure. Pages use proper HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), a single top-level heading per page, ordered heading levels, and labeled navigation regions (for example “Breadcrumb” and “Legal”), so screen-reader users can jump by landmark and heading. The page language is declared as English.
  • Keyboard operability. Every link, button, menu, form field, and control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to main content” link is the first focusable element on every page. Menus close with Escape, and nothing traps focus.
  • Visible focus. A high-contrast focus indicator is shown on every interactive element, including custom controls such as the symptom chips and the cost-range slider, meeting WCAG 2.2 focus-appearance guidance.
  • Color and contrast. Body text, headings, links, and buttons are checked against the AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and interface components). Our brand yellow is used on dark backgrounds only, never as text on light surfaces, and color is never the only way information is conveyed.
  • Text and zoom. Text can be resized to 200% and pages reflow at 320 CSS pixels wide without loss of content or horizontal scrolling. Fonts are loaded with readable fallbacks.
  • Images and media. Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images and icons are hidden from assistive technology. Sewer-scope video and job photos are accompanied by text descriptions of what they show.
  • Motion. Scroll animations, counters, and the smooth-scroll effect are disabled automatically when your operating system requests reduced motion, and a “Reduce motion” switch in the footer turns them off on any device. No content flashes more than three times per second and nothing auto-plays with sound.
  • Forms. Every form field has a visible, programmatically associated label; required fields are marked in text as well as visually; errors are announced and described in text; phone and email fields use the correct input types so mobile keyboards and autofill work; and the reCAPTCHA protection on our forms runs invisibly, so no visual puzzle is required.
  • Consistent navigation. The header, footer, and contact paths are the same on every page, and links and buttons have descriptive names (for example “Open Pro Sewer Repair on Google Maps” rather than “click here”).
  • Touch targets and pointer alternatives. Controls meet the WCAG 2.2 minimum target size, and no function requires a drag gesture or path-based motion.
  • Plain language. Legal and educational pages open with a plain-language summary, technical terms are defined in our sewer glossary, and important content is not hidden behind hover-only menus.
  • Testing. Pages are checked with automated accessibility audits (including Google Lighthouse) and by manual keyboard and screen-reader review during development, and again before each significant release.

4. Assistive technology and browser support

The website is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies including VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA and JAWS (Windows), screen magnifiers, speech-recognition software, and switch devices. It does not rely on any browser plug-in. Very old browsers may not render every visual effect but will still present the full content and forms.

5. Known limitations and third-party content

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of the following and are working on them:

  • Third-party services. The Google Maps map embedded in the footer of every page, Google reCAPTCHA, the Service Finance financing application, Google Business Profile and Yelp review pages, and social-media platforms are operated by other companies under their own accessibility policies. If any of them is a barrier for you, contact us and we will complete the task with you by phone or email — including taking a service request and helping you reach the financing partner.
  • Older imported content. Some blog posts and photographs migrated from our previous website may have missing or generic alternative text or heading structure. We are reviewing and correcting them; tell us which page and we will fix it first.
  • Job videos and sewer-scope footage. These are visual by nature and generally have no soundtrack; they are accompanied by written descriptions rather than captions or audio description. Ask us and we will describe any specific footage.
  • Documents. Estimates, agreements, and warranty documents are delivered through our field-service software as PDF or e-signature documents; if one is not readable with your assistive technology, we will provide the content in an accessible format on request.
  • Automated AI-assisted content. Some educational text is drafted with AI assistance under human review; if a passage is unclear, we will explain it in plain language by phone.

6. Tell us about a barrier — and how we respond

We welcome your feedback. If you experience any difficulty using this website, need content in an alternative format, or want to tell us how we can serve you better, please contact us:

  • Email: [email protected] with the subject line “Website accessibility”
  • Phone or text: (425) 478-3133 — answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; text messaging is available for callers who are deaf or hard of hearing, and we accept relay calls (dial 711)
  • Mail: Pro Sewer Repair LLC, Attn: Accessibility, 9824 Lake City Way NE, Lower, Seattle, WA 98115

Please tell us the web address of the page, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology or browser you were using, and the best way to reach you. We will acknowledge your message within two business days, give you the information or complete the task you were attempting by another means right away, and aim to correct the underlying issue within 30 days, or tell you why it will take longer. Accessibility feedback is handled by the owner and our website provider, and anything you share about a disability is used only to accommodate you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Getting service without the website

Nothing on this website is required in order to do business with us. You can request an estimate, book emergency service, ask about financing, and get any information that appears on this site by calling or texting (425) 478-3133 at any hour, or by emailing [email protected]. Our office at 9824 Lake City Way NE, Lower, Seattle, WA 98115 can also arrange accommodations for in-person visits and for the way our technicians communicate with you at your property — for example written summaries, large-print documents, or extra time to walk through options.

8. Review cadence and enforcement

This statement was last reviewed on September 11, 2026. We review it, and re-test the website, at least once a year and whenever we launch a significant new section or feature. The website is built and maintained for us by CI Web Group, which applies accessibility checks as part of its release process. If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division at ada.gov or the Washington State Human Rights Commission. We would rather hear from you first — and fix it.
