Sewer Repair & Replacement in Fremont

Old mill town on the canal, now dense and mixed. Low-lying lines with little fall, century-old clay next to new construction, and a lot of shared infrastructure.

Pro Sewer Repair repairs and replaces side sewers in Fremont, Seattle — camera-verified, permitted through Seattle Public Utilities, with BlueLight lining and pipe bursting where the line qualifies. Open 24/7/365; estimates and second opinions are free.

Fremont is two neighborhoods stacked on one set of pipes

Fremont began as a mill and mining-supply town on the north bank of what became the Ship Canal, and its oldest streets still carry that early-1900s grid. On top of it sits a newer Fremont — offices, apartments, townhomes — built fast in the last twenty years. The side sewers under a lot of that new density are older than the buildings. A townhome cluster on a former bungalow lot may drain through a lateral that was laid in 1912, extended in the 1950s, and tied into again last decade.

Low ground, low fall

Below 36th, Fremont flattens toward the canal. Laterals there have very little slope, so a small settlement becomes a belly that holds water, and a partial blockage that would flush itself on a hill just sits. The camera tells the difference between a line that needs cleaning and one that has lost its grade — and the fix is very different.

Common problems in Fremont lines

  • Bellies and standing water in flat canal-side runs.
  • Roots at clay joints on the older residential streets up the hill.
  • Undocumented tie-ins and shared laterals where lots were redeveloped — sometimes the reason a “new” building backs up.

Options that fit Fremont sites

For a sound line with leaking joints, BlueLight UV-cured lining creates a jointless pipe from one access point. For a run that has lost grade, the settled section often has to be dug and re-bedded; where the rest of the line qualifies, pipe bursting or lining can work from a couple of access pits instead of a trench through a courtyard or a parking area. For property managers, our camera inspection gives you the documented condition of a shared line before it becomes a tenant problem. Full replacements carry a transferable lifetime parts-and-labor warranty, subject to the written warranty terms.

Permits in Seattle

Side-sewer repairs and replacements inside Seattle city limits need a side-sewer permit, issued by Seattle Public Utilities since October 1, 2025. The side sewer is private property from the house to the connection at the public main, so the permit is the homeowner’s responsibility — we explain the permit requirements and build them into your written scope. Work in the street or planting strip can also need a separate SDOT permit. The permit and its inspection put the work on record.
